MARK MULTIPLE ENTRIES HELP Specify the pattern that matches the entries in the list that you want marked then press the SELECT key. All of the entries that match the pattern you specify will be marked. Any entries that do not match the pattern you specify will be left as they were. If you do not want to mark a group of entries then press the ESCAPE key. (You must retype the password to verify that it was typed correctly the first time.) The password is not shown on the screen as you type it; this prevents unauthorized users from learning your password. Page 1 of 1 FILE SERVER/USER NAME HELP This menu lists the file servers that your station is currently logged in to. The name of the file server is shown in the left column. Your username on the server is shown in the right column. You have the following options: SELECT Choose a file server to be the current server. INSERT Log in to another file server. DELETE Log out from a file server. MODIFY Change to a different user on a file server. Page 1 of 1 LOG OUT FROM SERVER HELP To log out from the highlighted server, answer YES. Otherwise answer NO or press the ESCAPE key. Page 1 of 1 LOG IN TO SERVER HELP You cannot log in to an additional file server because your station is already attached to 8 servers. (A station cannot be logged in to more than 8 servers simultaneously.) You must log out from one of the servers to which you are currently logged in before you can log in to any other servers. Page 1 of 1 OTHER FILE SERVERS HELP This menu lists the network file servers which you are not logged in to, or which you are logged into but the server is running the version of NetWare necessary for this utility. To log in to any of these file servers, highlight it and press the SELECT key. If the server is not running the correct version of NetWare you will be shown the version the server is running and the version required by this utility. Page 1 of 1 USER NAME HELP Type the username you wish to use when logging in to the highlighted file server. If you do not have a username on the selected file server, you can usually log in as GUEST. Page 1 of 1 PASSWORD HELP The user you have selected has a password. Type the password, then press the SELECT key. The password is not shown on the screen as you type it. This prevents others from learning it. Page 1 of 1 NEW USERNAME HELP You were unable to change to the specified user because you typed an incorrect username or password, or an incorrect username-password pair. Page 1 of 1 YOU CANNOT LOG OUT FROM YOUR DEFAULT SERVER HELP You cannot log out from the file server that is associated with your current default drive. Doing so would invalidate your workstation's current drive. Page 1 of 1 DEFAULT USER CANNOT BE CHANGED HELP You cannot change to a different user on the file server associated with your current default drive. Doing so would invalidate your station's current default drive. Page 1 of 1 CHANGE PASSWORD HELP Your password was not changed because the new password was used previously. You must pick a password that has not already been used. Page 1 of 1 CHANGE PASSWORD HELP Your password was not changed because the new password does not contain enough characters. You must chose a new password which is longer. Page 1 of 1 CHANGE PASSWORD HELP Type the old password you wish to change, then press the SELECT key. (You must know the old password to change it. This feature prevents unauthorized persons from changing passwords.) The password is not shown on the screen as you type it. This prevents unauthorized users from learning your password. Page 1 of 1 CANCEL CHANGES HELP If you answer YES, then the text string will be returned to its original state. If you answer NO or press the ESCAPE key, you will go back to editing the string, keeping any changes you have made so far. Page 1 of 1 SAVE CHANGES HELP If you want to save the changes you have made while editing, then answer YES. If you do not want to save the changes, then answer NO. If you want to resume editing then press the ESCAPE key. Page 1 of 1 CANCEL CHANGES HELP If you want to cancel all the changes you have made while editing, then answer YES. Otherwise, answer NO or press the ESCAPE key. Page 1 of 1 MARK IS ON HELP You have attempted to insert text while marking is turned on. You must turn marking off (by pressing the MARK key a second time) before you can insert more text. Page 1 of 1 PASTE BUFFER EMPTY HELP You pressed the INSERT key which normally causes the text in the paste buffer to be inserted at the current cursor location. There is no text in the paste buffer at the present time. If you want to cut a block of text and insert it at a new location, you must first mark and delete the text using the MARK and DELETE keys. Page 1 of 1 TEXT BUFFER FULL HELP You have entered more text than will fit in the edit buffer. You have reached the maximum size allowed. Page 1 of 1 BLOCK MARKED TOO BIG FOR MEMORY HELP When you mark a block of text and press the DELETE key, the text is deleted from the current buffer and placed in a paste buffer. There is not enough memory left to create a paste buffer big enough to hold the text you have marked. You must delete or move the text in smaller blocks. Page 1 of 1 NO CHARACTERS MARKED HELP You pressed the DELETE key while marking was enabled, but no characters were marked. If you want to mark and delete or move a section of text, move the cursor so that the section of text you want to delete is marked in reverse video. Then press the DELETE key. If you do not want to delete or move a whole section of text, then turn marking off by pressing the MARK key a second time. Page 1 of 1 ABANDON CHANGES HELP If you answer YES, then any changes you have made to the text string will be discarded and you will return to the previous level just as if you had never selected this option. If you answer NO, or press ESCAPE you will go back to editing the string. Page 1 of 1 EXIT HELP If you answer YES, then you will exit the program. If you answer NO or press the ESCAPE key, you will go back to where you left off. Note that is you exit using the EXIT key before saving changes you have made, the changes will be lost. Page 1 of 1 CANCEL HELP If you want to undo any changes you have made to the current field then select YES and then press the SELECT key. If you do not want to cancel your changes to the current field then select NO and press the SELECT key, or press the ESCAPE key. Page 1 of 1 CONTROL CHARACTERS IN PASSWORDS Ascii characters in the range 0-31 are considered control characters and are not allowed in a password. These characters are usually generated by the using the CONTROL key although sometimes function keys will also generate a control character. Page 1 or 1 YOU CANNOT LOG OUT FROM YOUR PRIMARY SERVER HELP You cannot log out from the file server that you originally logged into. Doing so would invalidate most of your workstation's drives. To select a volume, highlight it and press SELECT. You may select the ".." entry, if it is present, to return to the server selection screen. Page 1 of 1 NETWORK DRIVES NOT ALLOWED HELP You are not allowed to select a network drive at this point. Please select a local drive. Page 1 of 1 CAN NOT CHANGE USER ON LOCAL DRIVE HELP The MODIFY key may not be used when a local drive is highlighted. Changing users applies only to network file servers. Page 1 of 1 CAN NOT LOG OUT FROM LOCAL DRIVES HELP The DELETE key may not be used when a local drive is highlighted. Deletion is used to log out from file servers, and does not apply to local drives. To add the server you specified to the list, press the INSERT key a second time, and select the desired server.
